So how is the adjustment going? Did she decide for sure to take apartment? Is she getting out any yet? Does she seem to feel ok? Just wanted an update

She seems to be doing fine. She's reluctant to drive by herself but is absorbing a lot of geography. She said she wanted to get involved with a church group for helping poor people.
As far as the apt. goes, she is making arrangements to move in the first week of October. Can anyone help her move?
She also got her hair cut short and said (brace yourself)..that teh stylist did a BETTER JOB THAN FREIDA!!!!
Well she had said she was going to come home on the weekend of the 29th and 30th of September. Is that still so and if so is she going to move up the next weekend or what? The only weekend that I am obligated is the 6th of October. I have to go to a wedding.
She is now thinking of moving this weekend. She knows that Joyce can't meet her in Johnson City on the 29th, so she is thinking of this weekend. The only thing she is having trouble with is how long she is going to stay once she goes in. She is thinking of just doing it in a weekend, but she also mentioned staying for two weeks when she goes in. We talked about renting a van if she wants to go home this weekend and just bringing her all the way. If she thinks she needs her truck, we might need some help or maybe Jason could drive the truck and I could drive the car, so he would have a way back. She'll need her truck if she decides to stay for a while. I'm afraid that she'll have trouble coming back if she decides to stay for any length of time. I'm also not sure why she wants to rent the apartment for the first of October if she is going to spend two weeks in Kingston. I'm just thinking while I type. I know you can probably tell.
I have a bad feeling that if she comes back for a couple of weeks- it might be harder for her to leave! Mailing her stuff would probably be cheaper than all this driving back & forth...
I think she probably needs a trip back to get a chance to go through her stuff. She's not going to want Janie going through it if she moves into the trailer. I don't think, though, that the trip should be more than a weekend. I just think there's too many things that can go wrong. I think she's worried about her things, and I can kind of understand that. I would want a chance to go through my stuff if I thought I might not come back for a while. What do you think?
I understand her wanting to come back to get her stuff, I can't really see needing a van unless she is moving a lot more than I thought she was going to. Two weeks here would only give Janie an opportunity to spring again and also I can't see what she would do for that period of time. A logical solution (sorry Jason) would be for her and Jason to drive her truck in, load it (with help) and then drive back on Sunday. That saves about 4 people about 2 trips. But who says anything about this being logical....
Jason and I have talked about that too. In fact, he e-mailed me today and talked about taking a day off on Friday and taking her home. She'd have some extra time to get things together and come back Sunday.
